Back to the Line
---------------------------------------------------------------After a long vacation/sick leave I am back to the line of Duty. This period away from work was enjoyable at some stage. I have attended 3 weddings and 1 engagement party. Normally when I am away from work I try to change my normal routine. Recently I have finished a few unfinished books. so3odiyon fi america Al Waleed My Struggle At the moment I am reading Al Jiniyah its highly recommended. Wondering a round in Birmingham market. I have seen the new macbookair it looks really nice. I am thinking seriously of switching to Mac now.. Liverpool 4 - 2 Arsenal It’s a shame Arsenal is out of the Champions league. I have seen the second half and it was the one of the best game in this season. Flying into Birmingham was not bad at all provide the bad weather they had for the last few days. Snow, Rain and windy conditions. it was pretty nice coming in. UK airspace is one of the busiest airspace in the world. the number of aircraft close to you that you get is awesome.. We are heading back to Dubai tonight Inshallah. While writing this update my cousin called and notified me that my grandmother passed away *Allah yer7amha* after a long period of sickness... 04.09.08 @ 11:42 PM UAE No Comments Friday, April 4th
still on vacation
---------------------------------------------------------------By the way I returned from London last week,, on the plane back to Dubai i had this weird question spinning around in front of my eyes, I would appreciate it if you can answer it despite the fact that it is quite a waste of time! When lunch was served on EK I looked out through the window and felt that the plane wasn’t really moving,, of course it is not the first time for me to witness such an event but this time I was like ( I’ll ask Majed! *evil grin*) ya3nee do guys get to eat and chill with auto pilot?? And what really happens when my eyes think that the plane is just lying there in the middle of the clouds? It’s a nice question actually, normally when the crew take rest or break the aircraft literally stop in the air because we can’t fly and rest or eat at the same time. That’s why we pause’s everything and then continue. *i am kidding*. Well, the autopilot is on after take off and we switch it off before landing unless we are doing auto landing. It depends on so many issues but this is the basic use of it. We as pilots in the front order the autopilot to move horizontally LEFT/RIGHT or vertically UP/DOWN plus the speed. If you got a speed cruse in your car that’s almost like one function of the autopilot. Regarding the aircraft if it moves in the air or you feel it’s stopped. The aircraft never stop in the air even if both engine stops. If you lose both engines the aircraft will stop on the ground but as long as you are in the air it will keep flying and descending. Overall all the engines produce thrust. If you try to look down and fixate on a ground feature you going to see you are moving or look at the map displayed in front of you. I am still on sick leave. Hopefully, I will get back to work in a few days. I guess my mind and body needed this break. The operation went so well *el7amdillah*. A few days ago I wrote about RTA in Dubai. I lost the hope as nothing happened and nothing will happen I guess. I have no idea why they have a call center and why you have to complain when you don’t see a result. 04.04.08 @ 06:56 PM UAE 2 Comments |
